ASEL Joins Forces with Safer Business Network and ShopSafe to Strengthen Urban Safety for London’s Business Communities

Argenbright Security Europe Ltd (ASEL) is pleased to be working alongside Safer Business Network as part of their new Associate Membership scheme, SBN Partners, and ShopSafe, combining experience, intelligence, and innovation to further enhance support for businesses across London’s Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) and other Town Centre areas.

Through closer collaboration with Safer Business Network, ASEL’s Elite Street Teams will now be able to access more targeted intelligence to help identify and deter the small number of repeat offenders responsible for a disproportionate amount of urban crime and anti-social behaviour. This intelligence-led approach supports both local policing and businesses, allowing ASEL to better protect thousands of levy payers across the city.
By also incorporating ShopSafe’s enhanced AI capabilities, ASEL can now more easily recognise individuals involved in crime across different areas and share that information across its teams. This joined-up model will help ensure a more consistent response to crime and contribute to safer, more welcoming high streets.

The wider retail and business community continues to face significant challenges. The British Retail Consortium’s 2024 Crime Survey reported that crime cost UK retailers an estimated £1.8 billion, with over 1,300 incidents of violence and abuse against retail workers recorded each day. These growing pressures highlight the importance of smart, coordinated efforts between private security teams, technology providers, and community safety partners.
