ASEL SOC Supports Police in Disrupting Serious Organised Crime at Team Valley

ASELs integrated security response combining CCTV monitoring, mobile patrols, and drone capability has played a key role in supporting police action to disrupt serious organised criminal activity at Team Valley Trading Estate.

Following a police alert last night relating to suspected criminal activity in the area, the ASEL Security Operations Centre (SOC) monitoring the Team Valley Valley Watch service immediately began enhanced surveillance across the estate. Using the estate’s integrated CCTV network, operators were able to identify and track suspect vehicles moving through the site, providing real-time intelligence to police and on-the-ground security teams.

As the situation developed, a mobile patrol was rapidly deployed to locate a vehicle believed to be linked to the incident. The patrol successfully identified a truck on the estate that matched police intelligence, enabling further coordination with officers managing the wider investigation.

To further support the police response, a drone was launched to provide aerial visibility across the estate. Equipped with thermal imaging capability, the drone was used to search for any outstanding individuals, monitor activity around parked vehicles, and identify heat signatures potentially connected to the incident. The live aerial feed provided additional situational awareness, allowing police to assess risks and make informed decisions quickly.

The combination of live CCTV intelligence, mobile patrol reporting, and drone-based aerial surveillance enabled police to intercept suspects in real time. As a result of the coordinated response, three individuals were arrested and a vehicle was seized containing a significant quantity of drugs and offensive weapons.

The incident demonstrates the effectiveness of proactive, intelligence-led estate security and the value of close collaboration between ASEL and the police. By integrating multiple technologies and capabilities into a single, coordinated response, the Valley Watch service was able to provide actionable intelligence that directly supported law enforcement operations.
