Seven-Year Partnership Delivers One of the UK’s Largest Retail Video Security Upgrades

After more than seven years of planning, collaboration and delivery, ASEL and TJX Europe are proud to celebrate the successful completion of one of the UK’s most significant retail security transformation programmes. 

Commencing in 2019 and reaching its successful conclusion in August 2026, the programme has delivered a complete upgrade of the TJX Europe CCTV estate across more than 500 stores, incorporating approximately 25,000 Hanwha cameras onto a single Genetec federated security platform.

The project represents a major milestone in modernising retail security infrastructure while ensuring business continuity across one of the UK’s largest retail estates.

A Partnership Built on Trust

Throughout the programme, the partnership between TJX Europe, ASEL, Genetec and Hanwha has demonstrated what can be achieved when technical expertise, operational excellence and a shared vision come together. From the initial pilot stores in 2019 through to the final installations in 2026, every deployment was carefully planned to minimise disruption while delivering a consistent, high-quality solution across the estate.

The new federated Genetec platform now provides TJX Europe with a resilient, scalable and future-ready security solution, enabling centralised management while maintaining local resilience across every store.

Celebrating a Major Milestone

To commemorate the successful completion of the project, TJX Europe hosted a celebratory lunch and presentation ceremony, bringing together members of the project teams to reflect on the journey and celebrate this significant achievement.

During the event, ASEL was honoured to receive an Outstanding Partnership Award in recognition of the commitment, professionalism and collaborative approach demonstrated throughout the duration of the programme.

Receiving the award on behalf of ASEL was Steve Evans, recognising not only the project leadership, but also the dedication of the many engineers, project managers, coordinators, and support staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes over the past seven years.

The award stands as a testament to the strength of the partnership between TJX Europe and ASEL and the shared commitment to delivering excellence from the first installation through to the final handover.
